Owen Hart
Professional wrestling was at its peak in 1999, and Owen Hart was at the forefront of the TV wrestling genre. Hard held numerous titles throughout the ’90s and was reprising a popular “Blue Blazer” gimmick when tragedy struck at the worst possible time.
Hart was just 34 years old when he performed a very dangerous ring entrance as the Blue Blazer at a WWE pay-per-view event called “Over the Edge.” Hart was supposed to be lowered down into the ring on a harness, but the equipment malfunctioned, and he fell to his death in front of thousands of fans.
