In September 28th, 1941, golfer Marion Miley and her mother Elsa were in their apartment when three men broke in and attacked them. Marion picked up a golf club to fend off the men, but they had the upper hand.

All three criminals pulled out guns and opened fire on the pair, killing them both before looting the apartment. All three men were later found guilty and sentenced to death via the electric chair. Marion was 27 years old.
