Perhaps one of the best linebackers ever, Derrick Thomas was a great defense player for the Chiefs during his 11-year career. His organization, Third And Long, helped people with literacy and community engagement.
Despite fathering seven kids to five different women, he never shied away from his duties as a dad and mentor. Sadly, his life was cut short in 2000 after an accident, but he lives on in the memory of his seven kids.
