Yes, Evelyn Taft was born in America. But that doesn’t mean she can’t have a love for languages! Uncommon as it is, she is fluent in Hebrew, Russian, and French. And English, of course! As a KCAL news broadcaster, that part certainly comes in handy. And her background in meteorology makes her weather map chats all the better!

Evelyn has a certificate in meteorology from Mississippi State University. But before that, she worked at the Mid-Peninsula Community Media Center in San Francisco as a teen, hosting shows on entertainment and travel. Adding that all up, she was probably destined for weather girl status, somewhere!
