Pelle Lindbergh was a star goalie for the Philadelphia Flyers. He was behind the wheel of his car when it crashed in the town of Somerdale, New Jersey. Lindbergh was later revealed to have been driving under the influence.

The popular netminder was severely injured from the crash and was put on life support by doctors until his family permitted them to pull the plug. Lindbergh was 26 years old.
